WSET Level 1 Award in Wines - 31st July 2023
This is an introductory course for students to gain confidence in wines, whether this is in a resort, bottle shop or restaurant. This will provide confidence and an ability to negotiate customers’ preferences, lifting any businesses overall profile in service, wine knowledge and developing high customer satisfaction.
- A great start to the WSET world of wine education. This course is designed to give every student confidence in basic wine knowledge, wine consumption and the following areas
- Coverage of the main types and styles of wine
- Understand common wine grapes and their characteristics
- How to best store and serve wine
- Know the principles of food and wine pairing
- Taste 7 or 8 different wines from around the world (wine included)
- Learn how to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
What is Included in the course
WSET Level 1 booklet, practical booklet, wines, exams and one full day face-to-face intensive (Global Certificate and PIN if a pass is achieved).

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines - 13th, 20th, 27th November 2023 at chancellor Tavern, sippy downs. - 3 days straight
For the student who has graduated from Level 1, or been involved in the wine and hospitality industry for a few years. Level 2 is for students wanting to know more about what is behind the label of wine both in Australia and around the world:
- How is wine made?
- What factors influence wine style?
- What are key white and black grape varieties and their characteristics?
- What are the important wine-producing regions of the world in which particular grapes are grown?
- How are sparkling, sweet, and fortified wines produced?
- What does label terminology convey?
- What are the best food and wine pairing principles?
- What are the principal categories of spirits and liqueurs, and how are they made?
- How to describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
What is included in the Course?
WSET Level 2 book, practical book, approx. 50 wines, exam of 50 multiple choice questions. (Global Certificate and PIN if a pass is achieved).

WSET Level 3 Award in Wines - 15th april 2024 - 5 days straight
This educational course focuses on the supervisor or team leader in a restaurant, bottle shop or resort or the wine enthusiast who wants to learn about world wines and their regions, climates, geographical influences and to develop a deeper knowledge regarding wines around the world. Entry is best with a pass in WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or at least 5 years in world wines industry.
Unit 1
- The key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling
- How these key factors influence the key characteristics of the principal still wines of the world sparkling wines of the world fortified wines of the world
- How to apply your understanding to explain wine style and quality
Unit 2
- How to taste wines, describe their characteristics and evaluate their quality, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting
- Wine® (SAT)
What is included?
WSET Book, work book, approx. 80 to 90 wines, exam of 50 multiple choice questions, and 4 written questions and tasting of 2 wines using WSET L3 SAT format. (Global Certificate and PIN if a pass is achieved)
